The organisers are expecting more than 1,600 publishers to take part in the event, from some 40 countries from all over the world. Around half a million people visit the fair every year.
The writers Manuel Rivas, Fina Casalderrey and Alfredo Conde, invited by the Galician Editors’ Association (AGE), will be present in Guadalajara, together with the comic authors Kiko da Silva (illustrator) and Carlos Portela (writer), who were invited by Galicia’s Regional Ministry of Culture and Tourism. On Sunday 29 November, da Silva and Portela will be holding an illustration workshop, ending with a talk on the current situation of illustration in Galicia.
